JOBENADO

Self-taught, at the age of 63 he began to draw constantly. He mainly uses the technique of ink on paper using markers, in different formats, from postcard to A3 format.

Over time, his passion for drawing overcame any other activity. He describes himself as "a crazy draftsman who starts drawing without preconceived ideas". From the combination of colors and abstract forms, he alludes to the various landscapes that make up his work "The colors of memory", which refers to his homeland, Chile.

Since 2016 he is founder of the cultural blog france-chili.com "At the end of the world with you".

Since 2020, he has held exhibitions at the Gallery "Jour et Nuit Culture" in Paris VI, at the cultural space "Escalier espace d'art en Montreuil" near Paris, at the central Bar Cap Horn in Paris IV and recently in Santiago in a private home in La Reina. Currently 6 works by the author can be seen at La Escala Galería in Valparaíso, located at 553 Cochrane Street and, soon, an installation will be inaugurated at Amor y Pan, a Chilean restaurant located in Montreuil.

He was born in Santiago de Chile in 1956 and has lived in France since 1976. He left his country on January 18, 1974 and arrived in Madrid, where he stayed for a year and a half. In the summer of 1976 he left Spain to work for a few months in Sweden. Two years after landing in Paris, in 1976, he studied French Literature at the Parisian University of Jussieu.

From 1979 onwards, he held various jobs, such as waiter in the first Chilean restaurant in Paris, "La Picada"; he was an agent in "Havana Tours", the first Cuban tourist agency to be set up in France; He was a specialized salesman in the chess bookstore "La librairie Saint Germain", and in the "Damier de l'Opéra", where he created a magazine specialized in electronic chess, "La Puce Echiquéenne"; and finally he was in charge of Marketing and Communication in "Banque Magnétique", a distributor of multimedia products.
